The "retro" styled version would've never passed pedestrian safety regulations. Everything has to be curvy and bulbous so when you hit that moron crossing the street when the light is green he just rolls off.

Looks like they took the GTR's main shell, and then squashed the front and rear in and gave it Versa sedan / Maxima -ish taillights.

I understand that you need to have a business case to build a car. But the BRZ/FRS slice of the pie is already thin, why slice it thinner?

The IDx concepts could have taken an angle like the Mini - a stylish yet frugal option in the subcompact market. Make it customizable, make some fancy luxury options available. Nissan has a fancy turbo 3-pot in the Zeod RC, a road car version would align perfectly with the base Mini, and the Juke Dig-T in a NISMO version would go up against the S.

The classic rwd notchback layout would really stand out in the segment - you have to go all the way to a Mustang or 2-series to get that now.

Not a huge fan of the Benz, but that's not a bad looking car. I still wouldn't buy it (not only because I'll never have the money) but I would stand and stare for a while. I definitely agree with the retro muscle cars too. I've always wanted a '71 Challenger sitting next to a new one in my driveway.

Their cars are so bubbly. I think they believe if they make the lights sharp and pointy it cancels out the rest of the blobs. I also think the new Q50 looks like trash, the last good looking common car they had was the G35.

I'm not down with the retro style unless they mean by retro the 90s and the FD RX7 or Z32 300ZX as the cars they are trying to make it look like.

Dogapult has one. It looks like the clay model for their car melted under the studio lights but they put it into production anyways. It has the fattest and most boring ass since Kim Kardashian.
